The factoring broker has historically been useful for his intimate knowledge of the marketplace as whilst the many factoring companies in the UK all appear to offer the same thing there are fundamental differences between them and what may be the most appropriate factor for one company could be a financial disaster for the next.
Technology is now starting to take over and the experienced factoring broker that knows his market is beginning to be replaced by software so that all the client has to do is to fill in a few details on a website and obtain a range of instant quotes from different factoring companies.
Whilst this may seen a simple and painless process it has significant drawbacks as it is software driven and cannot take into account whether the factoring company is appropriate at all, let alone the most suitable factor in the individual circumstances and far too frequently the company ends up talking to the wrong one.
We hope to explain a few of the pitfalls waiting to trip the unwary but we don’t offer the option of obtaining an instant quote and proceeding with an automated system as we think that it’s unsafe and would hope that you would do it the old fashioned way and telephone us to discuss your own individual circumstances.
The decision is yours but we would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to read about the various pitfalls involved first starting with the reason why some factoring companies offer such a poor service
